This account of the Greek navigator Nearchus is illustrated with a portrait of Alexander the Great by Tardieu, 6 beautiful folding maps of Asia Minor engraved by Tardieu after Aubert, an astronomical plate of the rising constellations and a table of comparison between Arrien, Ptolemy and Marcian.
