Michel MOSKOVTCHENKO (1935) - Lot 185
Michel MOSKOVTCHENKO (1935) Naked woman. 1967. Lithograph in black, signed and dated lower right and numbered 24/30. 64x50 cm (Framed under glass) This is a rather rare piece, this "female nude" (printed at 30 copies) by Moskovtchenko, the artist has always tackled nature (portraits of trees) and the piled up stones of the walls that border the country roads... This student of Charrat and Chartres, noticed by Pierre Loeb, has favoured difficult subjects, which lead to asceticism. He has exhibited (among others), at the Pompidou Centre, with a text by J-Jacques Lerrant. In Lyon, he was seen in the entourage of Roger Planchon and Rajak Ohanian. Later, he met Ivan Theimer (sculptor of the "obelisks" at the Elysée) and - together - they visited a Piranese exhibition... reinforcing the demands of their respective worlds... BG
