École de Paris, circa 1920 - Lot 32
École de Paris, circa 1920 Nude in an armchair Oil on canvas, apocryphal signature "Henri Matisse" lower right 61 x 50 cm (Dirt, slight old restorations and small accidents) Our painting is accompanied by an extensive dossier of studies and research into its provenance, due to its formal proximity to Henri Matisse's Nu au fauteuil (1921), sold at Hôtel Drouot in 1937 and then at Sotheby's New York on November 4, 2004 (lot no. 21), referenced in the catalog raisonné under no. 474.
