Léon SOLA (20th century) Portrait of a blond man with a cigarillo, 1917 Oil on canvas, signed and dated lower right 57 x 46 cm A little-known artist, Léon Sola, originally from Catalonia, rubbed shoulders with the Montparnasse bohemians of the 1910s and 1920s, particularly Amedeo Modigliani, who painted his portrait. The collection of Jonas Netter (1868-1946), partly exhibited in 2012 at the Pinacothèque de Paris, included several paintings by Sola. (Minor accidents)
