Amsterdam, Jacques LE JEUNE, 1660; small in-12, full empire green morocco, large framing decoration on covers, spine finely decorated with small irons, signature "rel. Bozérian Jeune. 1660, interior grecque, gilt edges. Engraved title, [5] leaves, first blank, 278 pages, [4] leaves" There are two editions under this date, equally well printed. The first ends with a 4-line errata, and there is a blank leaf between the engraved title and the first page (which is the case here). Willems 1260, Elzevirian edition. The original edition dates from 1659. A magnificent copy, in a precious binding by François Bozérian, younger brother of Jean-Claude dit l'Aîné; one of the finest bookbinders of his time, famous for the extreme finesse of his spine decoration.
