Paul Philibert-Charrin was a wonderful painter from the famous "Sanzites" (1947-1950). It was he who came up with the name of the group that claimed to be inspired by the freedom of Pierre Bonnard (1867-1947), and among whom we find a host of talents - not least Jean Fusaro, André Cottavoz and Jacques Truphémus... The three musketeers, were four, "Charrin included". Between Lyon and Paris, he has an impressive homogeneous and diversified career. He is a "jack of all trades", succeeding in everything he undertakes, especially his poetic and facetious collages, his whispered and mastered oils, his caricatured drawings (related to the war), his whimsical animal sculptures... Faïk Bazensir and the La Capitale gallery was his Parisian dealer, where we met his friend from Lyon, the actor Christian Marin. We also saw him at the Capazza gallery, which published works on his life as an unparalleled juggler of shapes and colours... BG
