Farida SAKHRI (born in 1968) Teapot (Today it's teapot 1 ) Acrylic on canvas, signed lower right 50x50 cm Farida Sakhri is a beautiful painter of Algerian origin, who lives in the great southern region of Lyon. Her painting - essentially focused on figuration - sums up her multicultural state of mind. She draws enormously from her beautiful country, the turns and contours of an Arab knowledge and a suave elegance, claimed. It is a work of its time, marked both by the roundness of the teapots (at a time when the mint comes to perfume the "youyous" of the women of the casbah), and by the checkered tablecloths that Pierre Bonnard 1867-1947 would not have disowned... (the same ones that reminded Vieira da Silva of the favelas of his native Portugal, according to Antoine Terrasse). Combined between the two shores of the Mediterranean, Farida Sakhri's delightful painting is full of promise, so that "living well together" is not an empty word... BG
