Jean-Marie CHOURGNOZ (1929-2019). Photographer and Marc PAMPUZAC (1926-1976) texts New York, 1966/1968 Important file concerning the publication and launch of the book "Ça, c'est New-York! (as seen by two French publicists)", 1967 -A copy of the book, paperback, Lyon, Éditions Chourgnoz, 1967, 84 p. with a printed map of the city. 27 x 21 cm -A folder of documents, press articles and advertisements for the publication of the book in the press, including the Salut les copains page "Polnareff, Johnny, Sylvie, Françoise ont été à New York et toi? et toi? et toi?"... -A large set of flyers and invitation cards for book signings in Lyon (La Proue), Paris and New York (Knoll International), and for photo exhibitions on the same subject (Lambert-Béal in Lyon). -An envelope containing negatives and contact sheets from Knoll's New York boutique -A set of greeting cards printed for André Marc Pampuzac, 1967, featuring an emblematic image from the book The publication of the book created with his friend André Marc Pampuzac (1926-1976) is one of the great adventures of Jean-Marie Chourgnoz's creative life. This highly ambitious project, which J.M. Chourgnoz took full responsibility for from publishing to distribution and promotion, unfortunately failed to live up to his expectations. With a print run of 30,000 copies, only 10,000 were sold, cancelling the rest of the editorial project (this first work devoted to "houses and streets" was to inaugurate a series of three volumes, with "Les femmes et les autres" and "Crazy New York" to follow).
