Patricia DEHO was born in London in 1934. She took up painting in Wigan, Lancashire, England. Her precise, meticulous craft earned her a good reputation in her native country. After falling head over heels in love with France, she settled in the Ardèche with her husband, to enjoy an enchanted retirement, offering us a delicate and sensitive body of work. Her painting of happiness, a subtle balance between tenderness and humor, gives a picture of joy and gladness in this delightful little corner of France, between mischievous freedom and happy altruism.

Marcelle AGERON (1902-1955) was the daughter of the great Valence watercolorist Louis AGERON (1865-1935).

Marcelle was, of course, her father's best pupil, as well as an excellent companion on picturesque excursions, bringing a different, more attentive eye to the human environment. While she shared with Louis a particular fondness for the landscapes of the Alps and the Rhone Valley, she traveled further afield, particularly to Italy, where she appreciated the history and rich heritage of the region, and even ventured to the farthest reaches of Brittany to experience wilder environments.

Her work, imbued with delicacy and impressionist colors, is obviously a wonderful invitation to travel, while offering a romantic and dreamlike meditation nourished by nostalgia.

Laurent DELAFOSSE is a French visual artist born in Grenoble in 1970. Trained at the renowned École des Beaux-Arts de Saint-Étienne in the early 1990s, his rich body of work now spans painting and sculpture. The fifty or so creations we present are a remarkable testimony to the designer's youth, from 1994 to 2003. At that time, painting was his preferred medium, articulated in a magnificent variety of formats. Sparkling, vivid, invigorating, jubilant - the adjectives abound to describe these free-flowing canvases, which summon up the illustrious predecessors of modern and contemporary art, from Kandinsky to Viallat, via Matisse of course, to offer a world of shapes and colors in jubilant compositions of ardor and balance.

Yves AUGUSTE (1952-2023) was born in Montbrison, Loire, and lived in Lyon for many years before retiring to Bourg-en-Bresse. A solitary, secretive, obsessive character, in the 1970s/1980s he worked as an antique dealer, specializing in antique dolls, reflecting his absolute, fetishized fascination with femininity. His discovery of artistic creation came first through photography, then drawing, before his encounter with the champion of eroticism on canvas, Arès Antoyan (b. 1955), led him to painting. Very curious, almost disturbing in his exploration of a feminine universe, as inaccessible as it is fantasized, his work refutes any idea of seduction and belongs on the side of art brut.

On the first €500: 28% incl. VAT

From €501 to €149,999: 25.2% incl. VAT

- Appoint a third party to collect your purchases (please let us know the person's identity by e-mail).

- Use Mail Boxes Etc: devis@mbelyon.fr or any other carrier of your choice

- Buy a Colissimo box and send it to us for shipment of your prize.

Lots must be collected within 10 working days of the sale. Beyond this time, you will be charged a €7.50 storage fee depending on the size and weight of the item.

Terms of payment :

Payment by credit card, bank transfer or cheque. Cash up to a limit of €1,000 for French residents and €15,000 for foreign residents.
