Hubert MARCEAUX (Born in 1937) "In the... - Lot 153 - Artenchères
Hubert MARCEAUX (Born in 1937) "In the spring" No. 18. 2019 Acrylic on canvas, signed lower right, countersigned, titled and dated on the back. 90x90 cm Hubert Marceaux was born on October 14, 1937, in Roche-lez-Beaupré, in the Doubs (Franche-Comté). He has been painting since 1950 and exhibited for the first time in Lyon, in 1964 at Petersen's, on the left bank of the Rhône. There, where painters such as Régis Bernard or Evaristo were already exhibiting. He participates in many exhibitions including the famous South-East (founded in 1924, by the Ziniars, Combet-Descombes, Laplace, Morillon, Emile Didier (the inventor of the word Ziniars), Louis Bouquet (the creator of the fresco at the Bellecour Post Office), Adrien Bas, etc.. He remembers being on the bill in Tours, at the same time as the turbulent Ben (Vauthier) and Claude Viallat (the famous inventor of "Support-Surface"). He was mainly seen at regional fairs in Grenoble, Roanne, Chambéry... He also has a permanent exhibition at the Galerie Mouvances in Paris. His painting is qualified as naturalist, so much he excels in the details of realistic elements that we find in our forests, and at the edge of the fields, in the countryside. He is a marvellous painter of enchantment, who knows well, the absolute necessity to draw from the only harmonic (and aesthetic) values of our rediscovered childhood... BG
